I know I haven't updated in a while! I'm a bad blogger. But today is a VERY important day. Today, Mack turned 1 YEAR OLD! It's hard to believe that he has been in our lives for an entire year. So, to celebrate, here are a few 1 year old facts about Mack...
1. YOU ARE BIG. You weigh about 24 pounds and I don't even know how tall you are because we haven't gone for your one year check up yet.
2. You are a picky eater....You used to love everything, but now you spit most things out. You LOVE macaroni and cheese, cheese slices, cubed cheese, mashed potatos with cheese......you get the picture. Of course, you aren't liking cheese so much when it makes you constipated!
3. You are ACTIVE. Always on the go. You love to crawl, so walking is taking a while. You will take steps, but you prefer hands and knees.
4. You love to open the cabinet doors and get into EVERYTHING! Daddy installed childproof locks on the some of the cabinets yesterday and you got SO mad when you couldn't get them open.
5. Though you are picky about what is on your plate, you seem to eat anything off of the floor. Go figure.
6. You love doggies. You will crawl to the window and look for Ladybelle and talk to her through the door in a sweet high pitched little voice.
7. You love your sister Maddie. All you have to do is hear her voice and your face beams with delight!
8. You attempt to talk a lot, but all that comes out are a couple of words. You can say Baaohh (ball), Bup (cup), Bi (Bite), Maa (Maddie), Bu Bu (Bye, bye), D D (doggie), Da da (Daddy), Muh Muh (mommy), and lots of other things we can't make out.
9. You love to put the phone up to your ear and day Da Da.
10. You are a climber. You can climb up on anything. Yesterday you opened one of the cabinets in the living room, climbed up onto the shelf and sat inside. You also love to climb up onto your train table and stand up. I think you like feeling really tall!
11. You no longer drink formula! Yeah! And the only time you take a bottle is in the evenings before bed. That is more for mommy than you. I love our cuddle time together.
12. You love being outside!
13. You love the water. Bathtimes are so much fun.
14. You are very musical and love to "sing" into the toy microphone. I think you will be a musician someday.
15. You are shy when you meet new people and VERY attached to mommy. That's OK.
16. You have the SAME laugh as your sister. When you and her get tickled at the same time its hard to tell who's doing the laughing.
17. You have the biggest cutest cheeks and I love smooching them.
18. You LOVE your blankie. You can't sleep without it.
19. You only take one nap a day usually. I'm not to thrilled about this one. You are afraid of missing the action.
20. YOU LOVE BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are your favorite things in the world and you can spot one anywhere. I love when we pull into the Target parking lot and before we are even out of the car you are bouncing with excitement over the Big Red Balls at the front entrance. You know they are there even before we see them. You love your basketball goal and can actually hoop it pretty well. You love your ball pit. You could play in there for hours.
There are a million other cool things about you that I could list, but it would take forever. But I can't finish without saying that you are the sweetest baby ever. Easy going, happy and so much fun. And you have the best big sister in the world!
