Pain Relief...

I have a fear of going to the dentist. I have had so much work done in my mouth since I was a young child (palatal separator, braces, retainers, cavities) that I hate for people to mess with anything remotely connected to my teeth. This fear has led to lots of PAIN. This week, I had such an excruciatingly painful toothache that I broke down and used ALL of the pain medication that I had left over from delivering Mack. I had never taken one of the pills until this week, so I guess I could say that my tooth caused more pain than bearing a child! If I spoke to any of you this week and said something goofy...I was extremely medicated and I don't remember it. Well,I finally sucked it up and called the dentist....Dr. Greg. Dr. Greg said "Root Canal" and though I didn't let it show, panic quickly flooded every fiber of my being. I was terrified. The last root canal I had done left me in tears. Not to mention, "doctor greg" is just barely out of dental school! I hid my fear behind a mask of laughing gas and let him do his work. And, after all was said and done, I have to say that Dr. Melton is the BEST dentist I have ever been too. He did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone. Greg, you are going to have an amazing career and I am so proud of you. Its hard to believe that the little pimple faced kid I met so long ago is a doctor. Thanks brother. Now if you could just get rid of this pain in my rear. Oh wait, that's your brother....I think I'll keep that pain around for awhile. : ) One more thing...I still smell bleach.
